My Story

Connection changed everything.

As the world retreated into isolation in 2020, I experienced firsthand how deeply we need connection.

Later that year, while caring for my father during his final days, my family found comfort in a simple daily ritual. Each afternoon, we opened a bottle of wine, shared stories, laughed, and for a little while life felt normal again. When he passed, we celebrated his life the same way—with memories, gratitude, and a toast.

It was then I realized that the moments I treasured most with my dad were never really about the wine itself. They were about what wine made possible.

Wine is the invitation.

I realized wine isn’t the destination. It’s the invitation to a more joyful, mindful, connected, and creative life.

I started experimenting with how to access those gifts—through our senses, our curiosity, and our willingness to see the world (and each other) with fresh eyes.

A lesson from the birthplace of wine.

A few years later, while traveling through the country of Georgia—the birthplace of wine—I experienced the tradition of the supra, where wine is simply one part of something much larger: gratitude, storytelling, generosity, and belonging.

It reminded me that wine has always been at its best when it brings people together.

New questions. A new purpose.

Those experiences changed the questions I was asking.

Instead of wondering how to help people learn more about wine, I began wondering what wine could teach us about ourselves.

The philosophy behind Wondria.

Wondria exists to throw the doors wide open—to replace intimidation with curiosity, gatekeeping with discovery, and judgment with connection.

Because the best bottle isn’t the most expensive one. It’s the one that helps you notice something new—about the wine, the people you’re sharing it with, and yourself.
